The General’s House was originally built as a Summer Cottage in 1895, and has operated as a Bed and Breakfast since 1984.
Antiques, collectables, and original works of art fill the house which overlooks an old mill pond. The house is surrounded by two acres of gardens and lawns in a very quiet residential neighborhood.
You are within walking distance to shops, restaurants, public beaches and the Northport marina.
A short drive by vehicle will take you to the shore of Lake Michigan with its beautiful beaches, hiking trails, forests, parks, and other points of interest.
We will begin hosting weddings and receptions in the 2014 season.
